Family practice, maternity and newborn care
Drs Tranmer and Power are the co-founders of Grow Health.
Dr. Jenn Tranmer grew up in Kingston, Ontario and did a tour of Eastern Universities before coming to her senses and moving West! She completed her BSc in Physiology at McGill, her MSc of Health Policy and Economics at the University of Toronto and her MD at Queen's University. She and her husband moved to Victoria in 2007 so she could compete her Family Medicine Residency and they have loved every moment of living on this beautiful island since.
Dr. Tranmer has had a general and maternity family practice since 2012. She is actively involved in teaching, she has previously been the co-head of the Division of Family Practice Obstetrics and held the vice-chair position on the South Island Division of Family Practice's board. Currently, Dr. Tranmer is the president-elect of the Society of General Practitioners. Dr. Tranmer feels lucky, privileged and honoured that she gets to have the job that she has every day.
When not at work she spends her time laughing with her kids and husband, hiking with her big dog Roo, planning her next trip to Nicaragua and doing lots of running, yoga and eating.
