Dr. Jenn Tranmer
Family practice, maternity and newborn care
Dr. Jenn Tranmer grew up in Kingston, Ontario and did a tour of Eastern Universities before coming to her senses and moving West! She completed her BSc in Physiology at McGill, her MSc of Health Policy and Economics at the University of Toronto and her MD at Queen's University. She and her husband moved to Victoria in 2007 so she could compete her Family Medicine Residency and they have loved every moment of living on this beautiful island.
Dr. Tranmer has had a general and maternity family practice since 2012. She is actively involved in teaching, is the co-head of the Division of Family Practice Obstetrics, and holds the vice-chair position on the South Island Division of Family Practice's board. Dr. Tranmer feels lucky, privileged and honoured that she gets to have the job that she has every day.
When not at work she spends her time snuggling and running after her two young girls and dogs. She enjoys running and hiking, a good cup of coffee and a nice glass of wine.
