Dr. Lindsay TaylorFamily practice, maternity and newborn care

Dr. Taylor (right) recently (April 2021) took over Dr. Mehaffey’s practice after Dr. Mehaffery’s family had a significant event that lead to her having to leave practice.

Dr. Taylor grew up in Richmond, BC. She completed her BSc and MD at UBC, and her family medicine residency in Fredericton. While waiting for her obstetrician partner to finish his residency, she practiced in Halifax. She had her first baby there and then moved back to BC, settling in Squamish.

In 2014, she pursued extra training in obstetrics through the “Enhanced Skills” program. Over the next several years, she worked with GP maternity groups in North Vancouver and Squamish, had a general practice in Squamish, and made 3 more babies.

Her family moved to Victoria in 2018 when her husband took a job here. Now they happily tag off on Labour & Delivery shifts at VGH! She initially locummed with Grow, and is now glad to call this group “home”. She is practice-sharing with Dr Lea and Dr Mehaffey.

When she is not at work, she is trying to raise her 4 children as decent humans, ensuring her sweet dog does not feel neglected, and getting outside as much as possible. Given a moment to herself, she enjoys coffee, running, biking, swimming, reading, cooking and fancy beer.
