We know that approximately 30% of pregnant women suffer from mental health concerns. These can be mild to severe. We have put together a list of resources to access. Please talk to your care provider if you are concerned about your mental health or that of your partner’s.

  • Reproductive Mental Health - Great website with information around many mental health concerns, and information specific for pregnancy. Covers topics such as medication in pregnancy, how to support a partner suffering with mental health etc.

  • Depression Work Book - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy workbook you can access and do from home. A great start on changing the way your brain processes and reacts to your environment.

  • Anxiety Work Book - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy workbook you can access and do from home. A great start on changing the way your brain processes and reacts to your environment.

  • Anxiety Canada - All about anxiety - applicable to all people.

  • Substance Use Support - Group and individual support for those struggling with addiction, or their families.

  • Vancouver Island Crisis Line - Through Crisis Chat, the Vancouver Island Crisis Society provides non-judgemental emotional support via online chat services, as well as offer resource information. Available 6-10 pm 7 days a week.
